Counselling and psychotherapy and are about being able to talk to someone about aspects of your life in a safe and supportive environment. You can find ways of making sense of your concerns or experiences and can lead to a more satisfactory, effective and fulfilled life.

Counselling is often shorter-term, goal-focussed work, looking at a specific issue or event, to increase understanding and possibly make changes. Psychotherapy is often a longer-term and deeper process to understand better yourself and your relationships with others. Counselling and psychotherapy are processes where what we talk about remains confidential unless there is a risk of significant harm to yourself for others.

I provide a free first initial session where a general picture of your situation is discussed, and then ongoing low-cost one-to-one counselling.
